OUCH! My ears, my nose, my throat!

So I got the flu shot once a LONG time ago when I worked for Dr. Mahdavi and swore I would never get it again because I got the flu!!! Well, the hospital has been encouraging all the employees to get the flu shot, especially those of us who are in direct contact with the patients like I am in the ER. So I got the stupid thing Wednesday and got a scratchy throat on Friday. Now the employee health nurse told me that there was no way I could get the flu from this shot. She said it was not "live" and that is why they don't do the nose spray flu vaccine because it IS live. So then WHY THEN today are my ears throbbing and itchy, my eyes watering, my throat and body aching and I'm coughing up loogies???!!! All weeked I've had zero energy as well. So is this all just a coincidence then??? Urgggghhhh! Okay, back to the couch.

Ha ha, that stinks! The kids usually get it because of their asthma, but I don't. You know what, I don't think I have ever gotten the flu either. Knock on wood. I usually don't get sick, some headaches here and there. I honestly believe part of your health is your mental well being. Be stong! Get better! Order pizza or something (of course by now, you are probably in bed!)

maybe your immune system was low and you were on the verge of getting a cold...maybe the flu shot fought your system and you get the stinkin cold anyway...! that's what their answer is-- you were already fighting off a cold- and it's coincidence~~~ luv ya-charity
