Prayer for Kadyn

My friend Charity's little girl had a seizure last night and was taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt. She has never had a seizure before so they have no idea what caused it. Tests are being done to find out the cause. Please keep Kadyn and her family in your prayers!

Happy Monday everybody! Hope everyone had a nice weekend! Mine was good. The kids and I took off to Mom's Friday night after Ed's birthday dinner and stayed till Sunday. Mommy time was just what I needed! There is nothing like a Mommy hug when you need a little comforting! We actually went to help her with a yard sale on Saturday which we did. She is getting ready to list her house so she wanted to get rid of some things. Paul and Kathy got there Friday afternoon and helped her clean out her garage. (Hated to miss that part, but I DO have a job now, ya know!) :) Anyway, I think the yard sale went pretty well. She was given a number by a neighbor of a church organization who would come and pick up whatever was left and give it to people in need so that was great! I had taken Sarah's queen size bed to sell and it hadn't sold so it was nice to know that the bed was off our hands and going to someone who could really use it!

Got back in town just in time to see my hubby for about 30 minutes before he had to go back to work for a project he was heading up that started at 5:00 Sunday evening. He worked until 6:00 this morning with only a 2 hour nap in his office. I was very concerned about him driving home after a night like that since it is about an hour and fifteen minute drive! I called him several times to check on him. Once he told me to quit calling him cuz he was trying to sleep. HAA HAA! Anyway, he made it home safely and went straight to bed. He really likes his job, but he is working alot of hours. I would really like to see him get some kind of breather soon!

I am doing better with the baby situation. I feel like God has been showing me lately how important it is to give it some time and not be hasty in my decision making. I'm going to continue to pray about it and see how it goes. Today has been good!

Blessing in disguise?

Well, Sarah is feeling crummy today with a sore throat and cough so I decided to keep her home for a day of rest. I called the gal I work for and told her the situation and asked if she'd rather I bring Sarah with me or stay here. She said she'd rather me just stay home with Sarah. I feel kind of bad about being so happy to stay home today! Blessing in disguise?

EXHAUSTED!

My house is a wreck and I have a weeks' worth of laundry to do and I can't move. I can't get off of this couch. I think I am stuck. My whole body aches. It has been a LONG week. I know I am whining, but I feel the need to go on. I'm not sure if I can do this "baby-watching" thing. (Sarah just asked, "Mom, can Abby and Maeghan come over today?" I'm thinking, "No, I can't do it. I don't even want my own kids here making noise today.") Most of my nights were full this week and that on top of watching the babies was just too much for me. I seriously don't know if I can keep this up. (Yes, I realize STILL whining.) I'm at their house from 7:30 to 5:30 with no break 4 days a week, so that's 40 hours. I'm supposed to have Wednesdays off, but end up doing all my errands on that day so no down time again. I feel I should (at least) be much less than my 230 lbs. at this point. I feel like I'm constantly moving. Shouldn't I have that? Shouldn't I at least have lost a few pounds??? I'm thinking maybe it would be better to have a "real job" even if I have to deal with childcare while the kids are out of school. At least then I would be dealing with adults and getting a lunch break right? Okay, Mom just called and I bawled my eyes out to her for a while so I feel better now! :)

On a happier note, Jake went to his football clinic this morning. Ed is assistant coaching his team so that should be fun for them!

Also a happy... my friend Robin who was moving from California got here Thursday! It is a huge change for them and was a LONG trip so hopefully they can relax a little this weekend! Welcome to Tenneessee Robin, Jessee and Mikayla!!! We love you!

Yay! It's Friday!

Girls' night out tonight! We are going to the movies to see Hairspray! Fun! Just think Robin, next time you can go with us! Prayers for Robin and her family, everybody. They are leaving Monday to move from California to Tennessee. No matter how FABULOUS the end result, moving is never an easy thing.
